At the heart of the XROV is a Jetson Xavier NX, one of the fastest, and smallest AI supercomputers that allows the XROV to run multiple neural networks in parallel and process high-resolution data from multiple camera streams and imagining sonars in real-time.

OPTIMIZED HYDRODYNAMICS

Attention to detail on the design of the external surfaces makes the XROV the most hydrodynamic ROV in its class. ​

 

GO ALL OUT. ALL DAY. ​

To squeeze every once of performance from the XROV, SeaDrone designed a custom 6000w power system that drives 600V down the tether. This high-voltage tether reduces supply current requirements and losses through the copper conductors, enabling a thinner and longer tether. ​ ​

DEPLOYS FAST AND SAFELY​ ​

The entire system goes from packed to water-ready in less than 10 minutes. The vehicle has a soft-start that ensures that all systems are running correctly before enabling the surface power system. ​

The XROV is a flexible platform that allows you to interchange modular components and adapt your payloads to specific missions.

CP PROBE

SeaDrone’s CP (Cathodic Protection) probe can be used to assess and monitor corrosion on subsea structures like ship hulls, tanks, etc. The probe rotates with the camera to reach tight spaces. A stainless-steel probe tip is pressed against the surface under test.

UT PROBE

A time-saving and non-destructive method of obtaining ultrasonic measurements underwater. Inspect the coatings on your vessels and thickness of your steel plates. Overlay thickness measurements on your video and photos and intuitively control the UT arm in the SeaDrone app.

CP PROBE HEAVY

Real-time computer vision is used to detect the laser dots on the surface being measured and SeaDrone’s Software automatically computes the range, displays a scaling grid, automatically compiles all measurements taken into your reports.

DVL

The DVL-A125 is one of the world’s smallest commercially available Doppler Velocity Loggers. The record breaking 5 cm min altitude makes the A-125 extremely useful for working with tools close to the seabed and the DVL has a max operating range of 125 meters.

USBL

The SeaDrone Locator streamlines the deployment of a USBL position system by integrating a top-side cable reel with a built-in wifi module that automatically connects to the SeaDrone PRO App. The Locator houses a USBL sensor array along with other sensors that allow you to track and actively control the vehicle.

GRIPPER

The dual function grabber combines high strength linear and rotary actuators. This rotating grabber extends the capability of small unmanned vehicles to manipulate and recover objects in cluttered, complex environments.

MULTI-BEAM

The multibeam sonar provides high-resolution imagery for near field target identification in low visibility conditions. The multibeam can be tilted 180 degrees to allow the user to scan a larger area and allow you to both find an object on the seabed and below a ship hull.

SIDE SCAN 454

The 454 side scan sonar operates at 450KHz with a 0.5˚ horizontal beam width allowing you to efficiently create an image of the seafloor and help detect and identify larger underwater objects such as pipes up to a 200 meter swathe coverage.

SIDE SCAN 992

The 992 Side Scan sonar operates at 1Mhz with a 0.3˚ horizontal beam width allowing you to capture higher resolution images than the 454 Sonar with a lower swath coverage of 70 meters. The 992 sonar is better suited for Search and Rescue applications.

The XROV packs small. Ship it via regular mail in 3 ruggedized transport boxes. Crate shipping is not required.​

EXOSKELETON

The XROV is built with an exterior shell to protect thrusters and to reduce structural weight.
The structure is built from HDPE marine plastic and frame is covered by a titanium skin.

AUTONOMY TO AUGMENT HUMAN SKILLS

SeaDrone has developed propriety object relative control algorithms to stabilize the robot to water-column objects such as wind farm piers and offshore oil platforms. The vehicle’s posture, lighting, and camera settings are actively adjusted to produce next level footage.
